Personality
Appearance
EYE REFERENCE
he could be considered a rather vein stallion; barely any marks adorn his body which generally is a perfect combination of his breeds. long legged and limbed he could come off as nothing more than just an overly large thoroughbred; neck carrying aspects of the breed as well his body. he comes in perhaps right at 17hh; no doubt not that largest, but it is not his physical strength that make him dangerous to others.
coming to his mane and tail he is not overly hairy with a mane reaching down to touch the ground; his mane ends about mid length of his neck (in the middle) the hairs are fine and straight as well goes for his tail; the length reaching just past an inch or so of the middle of his legs. generally he gives off the appearance of being sleek and fine with a bit of a wider chest; for the most part he is made/built for speed, finesse and accuracy.

History
Theran comes from a different place; neither from Ilyman or Ilosia or atleast not to his knowledge, but perhaps his birthplace was some far off land that was apart of the Ilyman kingdom - one of those areas seen as lesser. He would know about such things as his entire existence seemed to merely be just that; less. His father was a lord...so indeed his home was apart of the kingdom though talk of Ilyman was never mentioned so it would make sense for him to hold no true loyalties to what was meant to be his kingdom. Back to the point however of his sire/father being the lord, ruler of their home looked upon as a tyrant and cruel though those under him seemed to express the same traits. They were looked at upon as a dark alliance; continuing on like the kingdom taking land and what they desired which did reach out to-ward taking slaves. It was always mares; stallions and foals to be sentenced to death as Ephah could not have the result of another coupling among his herd - would not allow traces of the old and run the risk of any sort of rebellion.
Many of the taken mares would have preferred death to the fate they were given; living and treated dirt beneath the others feet. Slaves. Shackled to the whims of Ephah and all others merely there to continue in growing the number of the monarchy. His mother was among those taken, bred later to give birth to Theran. He was to be a slave as were most other foals born from those captured though it seemed Ephah took pity upon his bastard son; Theran being the only one born from the lead. His mother could barely stand the sight of him and at this point his father did not have a heir and panic made him act; taking the foal away from its' mother given to one of the mare within the herd to care for. Beyond this however Ephah had little to do with the colt though through the years Theran seemed to crave and claw for his fathers' attention; his approval.
No matter however what acts he committed it would still be seen as a surprise that this impure stallion would be capable of such acts with a mother in what they deemed as 'light'. He wanted the position of his fathers, even killed his own brother and when given a test in killing his own mother he succeeded. Many were sure he would fail; weep over her body and refuse to end her life, but Theran merely stared on with burning eyes at the lifeless body of the thing that gave birth to him. Still it was not enough, as said before he was impure and Ephah would never consider him as anything else but weak and half-blooded. It bred a vicious anger in the black brute that would come to a head when he would physically challenge his father; though only half of his motivation was taking the power and the majority his urge to kill him.
In this he failed.
His father was older and much well versed though he did not expect Theran to injure him; he might of very well killed him if not for the final blow to the side of his head. Many say it was this blow that literally knocked the color from his eye, causing the slight blindness in it. It would for sure be the cause of the nast red scar down over the eye to his cheek; the loss of his vision would have Theran retreating almost in humiliation.
When he came to Ilyman it was already torn apart by war which interested for a moment before his attention was taken up upon those moving away from the kingdom. There was really no choice left in the matter; there was no doubt his father would seek him out to kill him and it was obvious this..kingdom was falling, so why not follow as they say 'the crowd?'
