ice runs through my veins • 'Do you like it?'
The deep voice of her adopted Grandfather woke Warlock from a little day dream she was having. Her young, red eyes stared at the dark bay form of Uskh which was mostly hidden behind a grey furry coat. Warlock narrowed her eyes in an over dramatic fashion, shuffling over to take a better look at the wolf hide dangling from his lips. "What is it?" She asked, though before Uskh could say anything, behind her, Warlock heard Faelan scoff. "What is it? What does it look like?" Her ears flickered back momentarily in annoyance, before she shrugged. "Exactly like your pelt," she said, a small glint in her eye as she poked her tongue out at the wolf pup. Faelan lifted his lip in a mock growl, though she could tell he was sulking. Elder Uskh switched his gaze between the two before shaking his head slowly.
"Come here War, this is for you," He said, War stared at him in shock. For her? It was...she looked over at Faelan who's disgust was clearly written all over his face and gritted her teeth.
"I am sorry Elder Uskh, but I cannot accept your gift..."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had felt like a long time since she had first laid her eyes one the wolf skin that draped over her body. A gift it had been from her Elder Uskh, a lovely old man who she had began to grow quite fond of. From the second she laid her eyes on it, she knew that she loved it and that she wanted it direly for herself. However at the same time her duty towards her life companion, Faelon had won out that time around. It would have been mighty unfair of her to have taken the wolf skin and worn it around like she did these days. After all, the wolf might have once been someone that he knew. Right now, the wolf skin was all she had left to remind her of her spirit animal and her dear old friends. She still imagined the scent of smoke clinging to it's fur, and shivered every time she thought she could smell it. The wind tossed around her frame, a playful toy she liked to mess with until it made her feel wary and weak. It carried the scents of the forest around her, and she would use it to her advantage in case she had another stalker incident. And like an alarm, it warned her of a nearby presence. Warlock stopped her walking, and instantly swung herself around, ready to face the stranger head on.
Her eyes lifted to the sky momentarily, movement flashing to catch her attention and she swiftly moved into the thicket of trees, covering herself in their long branches and bark. She could not be fooled this time around.

to the spirit; familiar, but something was missing and it threw it off. Witcher he knew would not stand to be in this place much longer, would be soon making the journey back home to the tribe and in thoughts it was the smartest of actions, but the eagle could not seem to stem his curiosity of the odd sensation and feeling around him. Lifting his head to-ward the sky he waited a moment more, following the figure above him with sharp eyes; his feet moving almost without his own knowledge as they followed his companion into the thick of trees around him. He noticed the new, strange scent was getting stronger and logically he realized the spirit was leading him to-ward whatever the scent was. He felt the sudden shock of awareness enter his body was one; tensing as if ready to charge or preparing for an attack and as he moved further in he lost sight of the eagle and could almost fill a chill signaling the distance between them. Witcher had never been more than a few strides behind the eagle; when he was younger racing the figure along the open patches around his tribe and from then on the eagle was either merely above him perched on a branch or his own antlers...but now he could feel the absence and it sent shivers throughout him. However he was distracted to some extent; stopping among the trees knowing the scent was all around him though as well knowing he could go no further in actually tracking it. He could feel his very little patience thinning and his general frustration ebbing in. The sudden crack next to him had him whipping his head around to stare into the eyes of a fox; cunning creatures. Turning he paused with a thought in his head; turning to latch his hazel eyes on the golden ones across from him he lifted his head, speaking in a deep and commanding voice. "Find it." He demanded; the fox looked at him a moment more before it seemed the order finally registered and the creature began to sniff along the ground and leading Witcher to what would be the mare hiding. He was getting closer - the scent so strong he dismissed the service of the fox now able to follow it himself. Though as he got closer, head leaning down staring at the mess of forest, trees and bushes before him. A thicket he reasoned he felt his spine straighten and his head snap to the side at the large shrill sound of the eagle circling above, but not landing. His attention was diverted though his feet never ceased their movement. [/div]

(the hell did i just write....x.x)
