[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border-radius: 1em; -moz-border-radius: 1em; background:#000044] Sometimes I wish for falling, Wish for the release I’ll dance with myself, I drunk myself down, Found people to love, Left people to drown, I'm not scared to jump, I'm not scared to fall, there was nowhere to land, I wouldn't be scared at all… The mountain stands tall – the snow blemished tip unreachable and mystic, and in the soft glow of the azure moonlight Metzli thinks that it is almost magical. Of course – magical, beyond anything they could comprehend, for it was the mother. The earth, the sky, the sun, everything that existed came from the mountains hold. Even Metzli, even Kolr. She shifts herself from side to side, gliding through the pines and up the mountains slope, until the tree’s gave away to rocks and frost. The path from here was treacherous, especially at night, and Metzli stops by the last tree that stood along the scattered line like the last loyal solider to fall. Kolr lands on her shoulder, his talons digging into her spotted skin. He caws. Once, twice, and Metzli flicks an ear towards him. “I shan’t be missed, Tanach-ysit,” she replies to him, her voice smooth but low, like a whisper against the darkness. Those eyes, pale sea green, blue at night, turn to piece towards the shadows of the trees. No one had followed her here, she had not expected them too. Who would dare? They did not fear her, the member of the Achup tribe, but they had never excepted her either, whispers and rumours had followed her everywhere – looks of confusion, sometimes even dislike. Metzli was not the type of lady that encouraged friendship, she did not bring about smiles. It wasn’t her job to be loved. It was her job to guide them through this world with the help of the mother. Of the Enysanali. Kolr was all she needed. And he sat silently on her shoulders his head tilted to the side, his beak open and his beady eyes following Metzli’s gaze. With a huff, and a roll of her musles, she turns back towards the mountains, back towards the star dotted sky, and sighs. © melly welly from caution 2.0 | LYRICS BY FLORENCE & THE MACHINE TAGGED: any | NOTES: THEY GO HERE |
